Formulating these products is notoriously difficult due to the challenging chemical nature of active UV filters, whether they are chemical filters like Avobenzone and Octocrylene, or physical mineral blockers like Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Chemical UV filters are highly active compounds that can interact aggressively with low-grade plastics.
